Our Mission

ToolLab was built with a simple goal: make powerful online tools accessible to everyone without forcing sign-ups, watermarks, or paywalls on basic features. Most of our tools work entirely in your browser — no data leaves your device.

How ToolLab Works

ToolLab offers 22+ tools across six categories:

PDF Tools — Merge, compress, convert to Word, split, rotate, summarize, and chat with PDFs
Image Tools — Remove backgrounds, convert formats, upscale, resize, and extract color palettes
Voice Tools — Text-to-speech and speech-to-text with natural AI voices
QR Generator — Generate QR codes from text or URLs, download as PNG
Text Tools — Word counter, case converter, and markdown preview
Calculators — Percentage, unit converter, date math, and revenue calculators

Free vs Pro

Basic tools are free for everyone — up to 5 uses per day per tool category. Need unlimited access? Pro is $5/month and removes all limits plus ads. One subscription covers every tool on the site.

Privacy First

We do not store your files, API keys, or personal data longer than needed to process your request. AI features use a Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) model — you control your OpenAI costs, we never see or store your key.

Who Built This

ToolLab is an independent project built and maintained by a solo developer in British Columbia, Canada. No venture capital, no data selling — just a useful tool suite funded by users who find it valuable enough to go Pro.
